Updates....

A couple of updates - since we know that we will be at my parents' house through the summer while our new house is being built, we joined the community pool. We have been several times already over the past week, and it is great. The weather here has been very hot, so being able to take a nice swim is awesome - plus, Emmy and I can come over any time we get bored during the day for something to do!
On an unrelated subject, Emmy's talking is coming along slowly. She is saying a lot more words now, even if a lot of them are pretty garbled. Also, she is getting 4 new teeth in all at once - 3 of them are molars. YAY!





I showed Emmy how to put coins in her piggy bank. She thinks that it is the best game ever - she was finding coins all over the house and showing them to me, just so that we could go put more in the bank. It is cute, really.









Our hew house will be in Elgin, SC, which is just outside of Columbia. It is a tiny little town, and this sign when you are driving in cracks me up. Home of the Catfish Stomp. Really. We aren't quite sure what the Catfish Stomp is yet, but it sounds... well, interesting. I have a mental picture of people hopping around, stomping on fish. We'll see.








And.... this is our lot! Very soon, construction will begin on our new house. We are very, very excited! We actually get to pick out colors and stuff this weekend, which I am looking forward to. It is a great neighborhood, obviously with lots of trees, sidewalks, the elementary school is right behind us, and there looks to be lots of little kids around. It will take about 4 months for our house to be completed - we can't wait!!
