State Fair 2010

We went to the State Fair over the weekend. Beautiful weather, lots of fun was had - rides, animals, and fattening fair food. My parents and sister were there too, and I think we all had a great time! Tons of great photos:

State Fair 08

This past weekend, Ray and I with the kids, along with my parents and sister, went to the SC State Fair, something we have been doing for the past several years. Despite the threatening dark rain clouds, it stayed dry and cool, which was lovely. Emmy went on a few rides last year, but this year she was really into it, and thanks to a whole bunch of free ride tickets we scored (thanks Dad), she went on a LOT of rides. I even got to go on a few "grown up" rides, which was fun. Ray and I got to try the deep fried corn on the cob (disappointing - just tasted like mushy corn on the cob on a stick). Add corn dogs, elephant ears, tractors (for Pooky!) and farm animals, and we had a great time!

Pooky sat in the stroller and ate the entire time. As long as we kept giving him food (french fries, hot dog, lollipop, elephant ear), he was content. I did try to take him on one ride, but he freaked out.

Pooky, riding a tractor! He was so excited, since tractors, along with big trucks, are his most favorite thing in the world right now! I have a cute short movie of him on the tractor that I might post later this week, because he was so funny.

Today we headed over to the state fair - had a great time. Emmy loved the rides this year, we ate corndogs and elephant ears, and saw the animals.

State Fair

Ray, Emmy, my parents, and I all went over to the S.C. State Fair today. It was a perfect day, not a cloud in the sky and temperatures in the low 70's. We actually got free tickets and a bunch of free ride tickets from my dad's work, which made it even better. I think that we all had a nice time, and Emmy was definitely entertained.







Emmy played the duck game - she got to pick 3 ducks from the "river", and then she got a prize. She had a several choices to pick from for her prize, but she insisted on a little pillow with the Simpson's characters on it. No cute doggy or teddy bear, she wanted the Simpson's. Whatever.










Emmy looking at a goose, which was honking at her. She loved looking at all the animals, and we saw them all - cows, horses, pigs, chickens, bunnies, and more.
