Gymnastics Awards

The picture is tiny, but that is what happens when you forget your camera and have to rely on someone else to email you the pictures.....
Anyways, gymnastics is over for the summer. On the last day they had an awards ceremony. Each kid got a medal that says "gymnastics" and everyone clapped. It was cute and Emmy is very proud of her medal.
In case you can't tell due to the tiny picture, Emmy is near the middle, pink shirt, not looking at the camera...
It was a proud mommy moment... :)

Emmy's Gymnastics Class

I have been taking Emmy to a "Mom and Tot" gymnastics class every week since January, and she loves it! She gets to run around and play, and she especially loves the trampolines. Also, 4 of her friends from her Sunday School group also go to this class, and she loves being able to see them. I love it because I get to socialize with other adults for an hour, and then we all go out to lunch together afterwards, which is great. I finally remembered to bring my camera this week, so I took a few pictures. Most of them turned out fuzzy, but that is what happens when 10 2-year olds are running around playing.

Warming up! Everyone sits on a carpet square to do stretches.

Emmy is glaring at me because I am not sitting next to her.

One of Emmy's favorites! This is a long trampoline ramp that the kids run, hop, and walk down.

The kids also swing on the high bars and play on the big rope.

Emmy and Wynne bouncing on the trampoline.

Coach Kevin helping Emmy (and her teddy bear, who she refused to put down the entire time) go down the slide.

Emmy, along with a couple of other kids laying down under the slide. For some reason this is very entertaining!

Just Another Day

This morning I took Emmy to her very first gymnastics class. A couple of my friends had just started going with their little ones, and they convinced us to join - and we had a lot of fun. It is a Mom and Tot class, so we both get to run around and play. Emmy loved the trampoline, and she just had fun running around and playing with the other kids. I am always looking for things to do to get us out of the house, and I think that this will be a fun one!
Other than that.... nothing is going on. The holidays are obviously over, potty training continues, Luke is getting bigger, I am on Weight Watchers to lose the baby fat.
Emmy is supposed to be taking a nap. She hasn't been napping again - it seems like every few weeks, so will go through a 4-5 day period when she will not sleep. She just sits in her crib and talks. Right now, I can hear her on the baby monitor calling me, "Mommmeeee....where are you? Baby Pook's Mommy? Where are you?" Funny stuff...
I should probably go and get her up.
