Just Like his Daddy,,,,

From this past weekend:
Emmy was drinking out of a Madagascar 2 cup. Pooky saw the cup and said, "I want move-it, move-it juice too.....".
(If you have not seen the movie, the main song is "I like to move it move it", which Emmy and Pooky love. We rented the movie and they were dancing around the living room to the music. I find it hysterical that this is how he remembers the movie.)

Camping

About a month ago, we planned a camping trip along with another family. We were going to a state park about an hour away, and it was going to be this past weekend. I was really looking forward to it - we used to camp a lot before we had kids, but this would be the first time we all went as a "family".

However, the weather was very yucky this past weekend. Cold, and very rainy - it rained from Friday through Monday with very few breaks in between. We did not get to go camping, we chose to stay home. Emmy was SO disappointed! So, in attempt to help her feel better, we had a campout inside our house. We moved furniture out of the way and set up our small tent in the middle of the living room. We rented movies to watch. We made smores with a propane torch. Emmy, Ray, and the dog slept out in the tent, while I enjoyed the king sized bed all to myself - and everyone was happy.

Movie Night

Well, Ray has officially been gone a week - and it hasn't been too bad. We have been keeping pretty busy, which definitely helps. Tonight is our self-declared movie night! We made popcorn, Emmy picked the movie (Little Einsteins...ugh), and we all piled on my bed to watch. Best Friday night I have had in a while!

Look What I Won!

A couple of weeks ago, I won a give away from Dana of Just Talk. It is a DVD called Under Construction, and it is full of tractors and construction machines that I am so uneducated in - but my darling son LOVES them!
We got the DVD yesterday and my kids watched it right away - they loved it! They both danced to the music and Pooky kept exclaiming "Tractor! Tractor!" every 3 seconds. After it was over, he whined for about an hour, pointing to the now-turned-off TV and saying "Tractor....." in his sad voice. So we ended up watching it again...

Anyways, thank you so much Dana, we love it!

Emmy's First Movie

Ray and I took Emmy to see her first movie in the theater today. We saw the new Veggie Tales movie - and it was a lot of fun! Emmy did really well, she was a bit squirmy and ended up sitting on the floor on the step (we sat at the very top in the back, so we weren't in anyone's way). Emmy had fun, the movie was cute, and I am looking forward to taking her to more movies. :)
