My Little Chatterbox

I feel like I have so much catching up to do!

Well, Pooky is now 21 months. Over the past few weeks, Pooky has made leaps and bounds with his speech. Most of the time, I can figure out what he wants, or what is wrong when he is upset. He is speaking in mostly full sentences a lot of the time, saying things like, "More juice please" and "Where Emmy go?". He lets me know when he is hungry ("More eat please!", while trying to climb in his highchair) and he will pull my hand and show me something if I don't seem to understand what he is telling me. He points to things he sees says their name and he knows all of our names (even "Ki-Ki" for his Aunt Christie!). Just a month or two ago he hardly spoke a word - now - he amazes me!

Also, Pook and Emmy are almost always picking at each other now. It drives me bananas. One good thing about Pooky talking more now is he can tell me why he is crying. Yesterday, he and Emmy were watching a movie when I heard him start to cry from the other room. He came in, pointing to his head, crying about Emmy, followed by a bunch on unintelligible words, but I got it - something happened with Emmy hitting his head. Emmy will do things, just to bother him, and he will do the same to her. Annoying.

My little guy is getting so big! Hard to believe he will be 2 in a few short months...

Wow! hard to believe he's almost two. I remember when you were pregnant with him. It seems like only yesterday.

I'm feeling the same wasy about Emma. She will be 3 next month. She was only 6 months old when I started blogging. The grow up too fast!

I am so glad to read this! My son is 16 months old and he doesn't say much of anything. The only word he says each day is cup and every now and then ball or mama. I honestly was worried and thinking maybe he needed some early intervention with speech. But after reading this, I feel better- like he just needs more time and once it clicks, he will just talk away. Yeah for Pook and all his new words!!

Aww he is getting so big. The speech step is huge. I just love when they are able to tell you what they want and need (although I think I could pass on tattling). He's adorable, Missy. It's hard to think that E-Man will be there soon. *sniff*
